The Del E. Webb School of Construction (DEWSC) is taking a leadership role in the "green building" movement by promoting education and reaching out to local Arizona high schools for a design and construction competition called "Desert Doghouse." The Desert Doghouse competition’s goal is to design and construct a doghouse applying principles of integrated design, sustainability, and innovation to design, engineering, and construction. With the mentorship and sponsorship of industry, the Desert Doghouse program provides an unique opportunity to bridge industry, academia and community.
